This stong fiber core wire rope is made of EIPS (Extra Improved Plowed Steel) and has a fiber core for added flexibility. The fiber core does not provide the support to the outer strands like an IWRC rope but adds flexibility to an already flexible 6×37 class wire rope. The extra wires per strand add that flexibility but also lessen its resistance to abrasion.
