5/8″ x 20′ Grade 80 Tie Down Chain
Grade 80 chain tie downs are a reliable alternative to grade 70 transport chain. Assembled in the USA with premium 5/8″ KWB European-made chain and imported clevis grab hooks, they are built to keep your load firmly secured on your flatbed. Compared to grade 70 chain, they offer superior resistance to fatigue and abrasions, as well as a higher working load limit for most sizes.
18,100 lbs. G80 Tie Down Chain Construction
Created from high-strength alloy steel, this chain goes through a special heat induction process to increase strength and elongation. If you are looking for something even stronger, check out our 5/8″ grade 100 tie downs.
The clevis grab hooks on each end have a non-cradle design that allow them to fit through a flatbed trailer rub rail for quick yet secure connections, and the shallow throat opening lets you easily connect to chain. The cotter pin means you can replace damaged hooks with little hassle.
The chain is black-painted for corrosion-resistance.
Note: G80 tie down chain is not approved for overhead lifting because the hooks have an exposed cotter pin.
G80 Truck Tie Down Chain Industry Compliance
All of our tie down chain is DOT compliant and meets or exceeds FMCSA CFR49 Section 393.104 and NACM Welded Steel Chain Specifications. The hooks are embossed with the size and the grade, and the chain has grade embossing on the links every 3 feet. This ensures you can quickly identify the chain you need, and that inspections are stress-free.
