Type 9 attached eye wide slings are best for light, bulky loads when a wider sling is needed for stability, or when extra protection is required for fragile loads or finished surfaces. Also known as a load balancer basket, it’s constructed with eyes attached to a single ply webbing sling body. The eyes are made of narrow webbing to easily accommodate small hooks.
Type 9 slings are also known as a basket sling or basket lift sling because they are intended for use only with a basket hitch. If you need a wide body lifting sling with a higher capacity, see our type 8 continuous eye web sling category. Custom web lifting slings are also an option by calling our sales team.
All of our basket slings are made in the USA to industry standards in a heavy-duty, 9,800 lbs. per inch industrial grade webbing, and have a sewn-in leather tag that contains the working load limit.
Please note:
The width measurement for a type 9 nylon basket sling reflects the width of the short side of the sling, not from eye to eye. The length is determined by laying the sling flat and measuring from one end of the nylon sling to the other, including the eyes.
Sling Proof Testing Certificates
Proof testing certificates can be supplied with your order for a nominal fee and must be requested at the time of order. Proof tests are performed in the factory where the sling is pull tested to 2x the vertical rating and officially recorded as proof for governing bodies. During the standard manufacturing process, only random slings during a production run are tested for compliance; in order to provide proof testing certificates with your order, every sling must be pull tested at the time of manufacture.
Sling length is determined from the load-bearing point of one eye or fitting to the load-bearing point of the other eye or fitting.
