Ring nails are used as an attachment point in wood. The ridges in the shaft hold it firmly in place and resist pullout. Stainless steel type 304 is often used where greater protection against weather or corrosion is needed.
Please Note:
Loading at an angle will significantly reduce a bolt’s rated capacity; a 45 degree angle reduces it to just 1/4 of the stated rating. Never load at an angle greater than 45 degrees from the bolt center line.
